Fossils is a Rock band from Kolkata, formed in 1998 by Rupam Ishslam. The group is considered as one of the pioneer rock acts in Kolkata's Bangla music scene. Their music is flavoured by a blend of blues, grunge, hard rock, alternative rock and psychedelia, along with Rupam Islam's vocal renditions of his characteristic psychoanalytical lyrics.
